Ibe set to make Nigeria U-turn….considers playing

Reports in Nigeria indicate that former England youth international Jordan Ibe is willing to walk back on his decision not to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria with the early signs of a senior international career with England looking bleak.
The 20-year-old had turned down a chance to play for the Super Eagles last year when he was courted by then Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh at a time his star burned brightly while playing at Liverpool.
However Ibe, who now plays at Bournemouth, is ready to listen to an offer from Nigeria which is likely to be made this week.
Jordan is willing to listen to what we have to offer, a source close to the Nigerian Football Federation as saying.
We are hoping he finds the project enticing enough to dump England where he is a youth international and play for Nigeria at senior level.
If all goes according to the NFF’s plans, the young forward would have his chance with the Super Eagles early next year.
Meanwhile the three-time African champions are also said to be interested in defender Nedum Onuoha who plays in the English Championship with Queens Park Rangers. The 30-year-old star had in the past rejected an opportunity to play for the Super Eagles, has apparently also had a rethink.
