Afcon-bound stars shine in France

Seven African stars expected to be at the forthcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, were on target in the French Ligue 1 at the weekend, with Algeria star Ryad Boudebouz among the scorers.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who is currently the top African scorer in France this season with seven goals, scored in the 80th minute for his club Montpellier to round off an impressive 3:0 victory over visiting champions Paris Saint Germain.
Ghana star Abdul Waris continued his recent good form for Lorient, scoring in his third straight game as they drew 2:2 at Angers. Senegal duo Famara Diedhiou and Cheikh NDoye scored both Angers goals.
Cameroon winger Clinton NJie (pictured) struck in stoppage time for Olympique Marseille to cap a 3:0 win over Nancy. It was the 23-year-old’s second goal for the club since joining them on loan in the summer from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco midfielders, Jean Seri and Younes Belhanda, both scored for leaders Nice as they spanked visiting Toulouse 3:0 to go three points clear of second-placed Monaco.
