Rising Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has undergone a medical at English champions Leicester City, according to the UK Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old, who currently plays for Belgian top-flight side Genk, is expected to sign a five-year contract in January once he gets clearance for a work permit.
Beyond his defensive skills the Super Eagles star packs a powerful shot and adds goals to his game. He has scored thrice in 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
He is set to join international teammate Ahmed Musa at the club. He is also expected to team up with Algerian star and new BBC African Footballer of the Year Riyad Mahrez and fellow Algerian Islam Slimani.
Other Africans at the club, including Ghana duo Jeffrey Schlup and Daniel Amartey. He will be in direct competition for a place in the side with Amartey.
