Ndidi deal not done, Genk stall

The director of sports of Belgian club Genk, Dimitri De Conde, claims that the deal to sell rising Nigeria star Wilfred Ndidi to English champions Leicester City has not been completed, despite both clubs reportedly agreeing a 15m pounds deal and the player having passed his Leicester medicals.
De Conde revealed that other clubs were also interested in the 19-year-old, but that Genk wanted to hang on to him until the end of the season before allowing him leave.
Seeing Ndidi and Leon Bailey leave in January? It is possible, but I am going to do everything in my power to stop it from happening. De Conde told Belgian newspaper L’Avenir.
Our plan was to replace them next season only. And yes, for Ndidi, we are talking with Leicester, but they are not the only club interested, he added.
It is generally expected that the young central midfielder will join Leicester in a few weeks, and could immediately be thrown into the deep end, with Ghana star Daniel Amartey and Algeria playmaker Riyad Mahrez away on Africa Cup of Nations duty from early January.
Leicester are also expected to lose Jeffrey Schlupp (Ghana) and Islam Slimani (Algeria) for the AFCON as well.
